I grew up in a Christian home so from the earliest I remember, we always went to church. It was around age 4 that I remember hearing a message that my pastor gave that I felt that I needed to give my heart to the Lord. I accepted Christ and was baptized.
My walk with the Lord has been just like any relationship. There are times when it is really good, and times that are challenging.
I stayed pretty close to the Lord even through high school. I was in college when my relationship with God really grew largely because of my involvement with Baptist Campus Ministry.
About 5 years ago I got burned out on church as normal, and it was around then that my wife and I started to attend Harvest Church. It was a breath of fresh air, and we have been serving in the children's ministry since we started going.
I now really enjoy my relationship with God where before it was duty & guilt based. He is like a best friend to me.
My Missionary Experience
My missionary experience started when I was very young. My parents have always served in the church and by default so did I.
In my teenage years, my parents felt called to the mission field, and we were missionaries in Germany for a year.
In college, I went to Pensacola Junior College and UWF. That in itself was a huge mission field. I was involved with Baptist Campus Ministry and served as the promotions director for BCM. It was a BCM that I met my wife Teresa, who was at that time the BCM vice president.
In 2003, I helped create Digital Media Education, a faith-filled, non-profit organization designed to mentor young people by teaching them video and audio production. I also currently work at the Christian Television Network producing programs with the goal to reach the lost.
My Vision
My vision is based on the gift that I feel God has given me- television production.
My vision is two fold:
1. To produce entertaining and inspiring programs that will excite believers, and entice non-believers.
2. To train up other "missionographers" to do the same.
One of the ways I am working on this vision is by producing the television show "All Over the World."
I feel so excited and thankful that the Lord has given me this opportunity to travel and help missionaries.
I have never really thought about becoming a missionary, but it was at the Globe Missionary bootcamp that I felt the Lord impress on me that I should take that step. I felt like the Lord told me if I wanted to train people to become missionographers, I should become one first.
I am uncertain of how this will all work out, but here is my rough idea:
1. Continue producing the show All Over the World.
2. Continue training others to become missionographers through Digital Media Education.
3. Start raising support to help with the cost of production and possibly living expenses.
4. Start helping other missionaries develop video training centers.
I am excited about this phase of my life. Although it is hazy to me how everything will work out, I know that God is leading.
